Authentication of Birth, Marriage, and Divorce Certificates

INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING AUTHENTICATION OF
Birth Certificate, Marriage, Divorce etc.

(ALL DOCUMENTS ISSUED IN THE USA MUST BE FIRST AUTHENTICATED BY EITHER THE LOCAL DEPARTMENT OF STATE  OR THE USA DEPARTMENT OF STATE BEFORE SENDING IT TO THE CONSULATE) 

(ALL DOCUMENTS ISSUED IN CANADA MUST BE FIRST AUTHENTICATED BY THE CANADIAN GLOBAL AFFAIRS IN OTTAWA OR THE ORDER IN COUNCIL ADMINISTRATON, MINISTRY OF ATTORNEY GENERAL OF THE LOCAL PROVINCE BEFORE SENDING IT TO THE CONSULATE)

جميع الوثائق المنظمه في الولايات المتحده الامريكيه لاتكتسب الصفه القانونيه الا اذا كانت مصدقه اصولا من الخارجيه الامريكيه في واشنطن او خاتم السلطه التي لها هذا الحق قانونا

جميع الوثائق المنظمه في كندا لاتكتسب الصفه القانونيه الا اذا كانت مصدقه اصولا من الخارجيه الكنديه في اوتاوا او خاتم السلطه التي لها هذا الحق قانونا

Original certificate plus one copy;

  1. Copies of 2 photo IDs (Syrian passport, Driver Licence) preferably one in Arabic;

  2. Consular Registration Form

  3. Consular fees $35.00 CANADIAN DOLLARS

    Please follow the instructions regarding payment of consular fees under the heading FEE

  4. Pre-paid airway bills preferably UPS OR DHL FROM/TO USA (PLEASE DO NOT USE FedEx FROM/TO USA). You can use mail/or any courier services within Canada to send/return your documents.

Please note the consulate does NOT accept airway bill to be paid on account number or credit card. It must be a pre-paid airway bill. 

PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT ACCEPT CANADA EXPRESS POST, AS CANADA POST DOES NOT PICK UP PACKAGES.

Please note the consulate is not liable for any damages caused to packages received by this consulate by using Canada post, as CP deposits package in the consulate mail box and not at the front desk, which may result in full damage to the package being bigger than the mail box.

Please note applications will be returned if not complete and if funds are not paid as required.
